BELLEVILLE — A company is suing general contractors for allegedly failing to provide a fully functioning automation system, causing plant shutdown.

Aggregate Equipment LLC filed a complaint on Oct. 25 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Fricke Management & Contracting Inc. and Randy Fricke, alleging fraud and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Aggregate Equipment alleges the defendants failed to provide amperage monitors for proper integration of all equipment units, as required under the contract.

As a result, the plaintiff has been damaged in an amount in excess of $1,000,000 due to plant shutdown, overtime work to recover from shutdown and costs associated with providing materials to costumers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and consequential damages, plus interest, costs of this action and any further relief as the court may deem just and proper.

It is represented by Gregory L. Shevlin of Cook, Ysursa, Bartholomew, Brauer & Shevlin Ltd. in Belleville and John W. Rourke of McCarthy, Leonard & Kaemmerer LC in Town and Country, Missouri.
