BELLEVILLE – A mother and minor child are seeking more than $50,000 in damages after a collision in Belleville.
DaJuana Ware-Wright and minor Deovion Ware-Wright filed a complaint on Oct. 16 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Brandon Jolani alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on July 11, the plaintiffs were in a motor vehicle and stopped at the intersection of West Boulevard and Carlyle Avenue in Belleville when the defendant struck the side of their vehicle. They allege they sustained injuries that made them sick, lame and disordered and were caused to suffer pain and suffering, disability and medical expenses.
The plaintiffs hold Jolani responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain careful lookout and failed to keep his vehicle within his lane of traffic.
The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $50,000 plus costs of this action. They are represented by Thomas C. Rich, Kristina D. Cooksey and Michelle M. Rich of Rich, Rich & Cooksey PC in Fairview Heights.
