Driver seeks more than $50,000 after collision in Collinsville

Car accident 10

EDWARDSVILLE – A Collinsville woman is seeking more than $50,000 after a rear-end collision in the city.

Linda F. Becker filed a complaint on Oct. 25 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Linda C. Baker and Lloyd J. Baker alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 24, 2016, she was operating a motor vehicle and was lawfully stopped at the intersection of West Belt Line Road and Bridle Ridge Drive when the defendants' vehicle collided onto her vehicle. She alleges she sustained great injuries and trauma, resulting in pain and suffering, medical expenses and loss of time to work.

The plaintiff holds Linda C. Baker and Lloyd J. Baker responsible because defendants allegedly failed to pay proper attention and failed to reduce speed, stop or swerve to avoid collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000 as well as costs of this action. She is represented by John J. Hopkins and Jim D. Ryan of Gori Julian & Associates PC in Alton.
