EDWARDSVILLE — A woman is suing a driver for allegedly causing an Alton collision.
Sarah Goins filed a complaint Oct. 11 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Dale Buhs, alleging he failed to maintain proper control of his vehicle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 21, 2016, she was driving westbound on College Avenue near the intersection with Fosterburg Road in Alton when Buhs, who was driving in the opposite direction, attempted to turn left onto Fosterburg Road and struck her vehicle.
She claims her left knee, back and shoulder were injured, resulting in pain, medical expenses and lost earnings.
The plaintiff alleges Buhs attempted to turn left when it was unsafe to do so, failed to yield to the right of way and failed to maintain a careful lookout.
The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of this action.
