Car accident 14

BELLEVILLE – A man is seeking damages after a rear-end collision in Cahokia.

John Dowell Jr. filed a complaint on Oct. 2 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Jessica Ford alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 5, 2015, he was driving a 2012 Ford-F150 traveling on Camp Jackson Road near its intersection with Kenneth and Paris avenues when defendant, who was operating a certain 2002 Ford Escape, struck the rear of his vehicle. He alleges he sustained serious injuries his neck, back and other parts of his body and was caused to suffer great pain, lost wages and incur medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Ford responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep her vehicle under proper control, negligently operated it a speed greater than reasonable and failed to take evasive actions to avoid collision.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $50,000 and costs of this suit. He is represented by Steven A. Katzman of Katzman & Sugden LLC in Belleville.
