Car accident 17

BELLEVILLE – A St. Clair County man alleges that he was injured in a collision with a commercial vehicle on Interstate 64.

Chad Jones filed a complaint on Sept. 14 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Joseph Steeves and Landstar Inway Inc.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 23, 2015, he was operating a motor vehicle traveling westbound on Interstate 64 when Landstar's commercial vehicle being driven by employee Steeves struck the rear of his vehicle.

Jones claims he sustained severe injuries to his shoulder, clavicle, rotator cuff, leg and other parts of the body, resulting in physical and mental pain, disability, medical expenses and loss wages.

The plaintiff alleges Steeves was inattentive on the roadway and failed to reduce speed, swerve or stop to avoid colliding with his vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, costs of this action and any further relief as the court deems just and proper.

He is represented by James R. Cantalin of Brown & Crouppen PC in St. Louis.
