EDWARDSVILLE – An Alton man alleges he was injured on a construction job when a stud wall collapsed.

Dustin J. Robbins filed a complaint on Sept. 15 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Shrinay Construction LLC, Impella Investments LLC, Lowery Hotel LLC, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 19, 2015, he was working at the construction site of Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton in Alton as an iron worker when the stud wall collapsed and caused him to fall 20 feet to the ground. He alleges he sustained severe and permanent injuries resulting in great pain and mental anguish and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to properly secure the stud wall and negligently allowed him to work in an area where it was unsafe.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus interest, costs and any further relief as the court deems just and fair.

He is represented by Edward W. Unsell and Fred P. Schuman of The Unsell Law Firm in East Alton, Illinois.
