Woman alleges wet floor at Belleville McDonald's caused fall

BELLEVILLE – A Mascoutah woman alleges she was injured at a Belleville McDonald's when she slipped and fell.

Jennifer Wagner filed a complaint on Aug. 25 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against JCTWILL LLC, doing business as McDonald's, James E. Williams Jr. and McDonald's Corp. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 6, 2015, she was a customer at the McDonald's restaurant in Belleville when she slipped on the wet restroom floor. 

She alleges she sustained injuries resulting in disability, disfigurement, pain and suffering and medical-related expenses. 

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to properly maintain the restroom floor, failed to provide slip-resistant surfaces and failed to provide necessary warnings to prevent accidents.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of this action.
