More than $110,000 allegedly owed on mortgage for Ashley property

Late 02

BENTON – The federal government is seeking to foreclose on a Washington County property.

United States of America filed a complaint on Sept. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois against Angela M. Deadmond, now known as Angela M. Stell, and Illinois Housing Development Authority seeking a cause of action for foreclosure.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendants have not paid the mortgage on an Ashley property since January 2015. The alleged total unpaid balance on the mortgage is $113,944.27, which includes interest and late charges.

The plaintiff seeks judgment to foreclose and sell the property and to pay to the plaintiff before expiration of any redemption period, plus interest, attorney’s fees, costs, and expenses and all other declaratory and injunctive relief. It is represented by U.S. District Attorney Donald S. Boyce and Assistant U.S. Attorney Gerald M. Burke of United States Attorney’s Office in Fairview Heights.
