EDWARDSVILLE – A Highland resident has filed suit against a Bunker Hill driver after he was struck while driving a tractor.
Kenneth Keeven filed a complaint on Sept. 1 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Sherri Steward, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 25, 2015, he was lawfully operating a Kubota tractor on Route 143 when the defendant crashed into the rear of the tractor.
Keevan alleges he received injuries to his head, neck, back and hand, was caused to undergo medical care and rehabilitative treatment and suffer emotional distress, disability and loss of capacity to earn wages.
The plaintiff alleges Steward failed to maintain a careful lookout, failed to pay proper attention and failed to avoid colliding with plaintiff's tractor.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus interest, costs of suit and any further relief as the court deems just and proper.
He is represented by Brent A. Sumner of The Sumner Law Group LLC in Clayton.
