EDWARDSVILLE – A woman is seeking damages after a rear-end collision in Pontoon Beach.
Tanesha McGee filed a complaint on Sept. 5 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Elizabeth McNealy, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 14, she was traveling northbound on Highway 111 in Pontoon Beach when the defendant struck the rear of her motor vehicle.
McGee alleges she sustained injuries to her back, chest, shoulder and lumbar area resulting in disability, medical expenses, pain and suffering and loss wages.
The plaintiff alleges McNealy failed to keep proper lookout, followed her vehicle too closely and failed to timely apply brakes.
The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $50,000 plus costs of the suit.
