Motorist seeks damages after rear-end collision

Car accident 07

EDWARDSVILLE – A Madison County man claims he was injured in a rear-end collision at the intersection of Route 4 and Lower Marine Road.

Scott Calvin filed a complaint on Aug. 29 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Moriah Hendrick, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 13, he was severely and permanently injured when the 2016 Sierra truck he was operating was struck from the rear by the defendant's automobile at the intersection of State Route 4 and Lower Marine Road.

As a result, he claims he sustained injuries to numerous parts of his body and nervous system.

The plaintiff alleges Hendrick operated her vehicle at a speed greater than reasonable and failed to reduce speed to avoid collision.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of the suit.

He is represented by Steven Giacoletto of Giacoletto Law Firm in Collinsville.
