BELLEVILLE – A patron claims he slipped and fell on a recently mopped floor at a fast food restaurant in Fairview Heights.

Terry Gines filed a complaint on Aug. 15 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers of New York Inc., alleging negligence.

He claims he sustained injuries to his back, right leg, shoulder and other parts of his body and was caused to suffer necessary medical care and treatment, disability and lost wages.

The plaintiff alleges Wendy's failed to have a safe procedure for cleaning and failed to provide warnings that the floor was just recently mopped, wet and slippery.
