BELLEVILLE – A Monroe County woman alleges she was injured at a Waterloo grocery store by shopping carts.

Angela Shaw filed a complaint on Aug. 16 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Schnuck Markets Inc. and John Doe, alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 17, 2015, she was seriously and permanently injured when she was struck by shopping carts being pushed by John Doe, a Schnuck's employee.

The plaintiff alleges Doe failed to maintain proper control of the shopping carts and failed to sound warning of his approach with the shopping carts.

The plaintiff seeks judgment in her favor in excess of the court's minimum limits and for any further relief that is fair and reasonable. She is represented by Patrick Hinrichs of The Bradley Law Firm in St. Louis.
