EDWARDSVILLE — A lawsuit against a Granite City chiropractor has been transferred from St. Clair County to the Madison County Circuit Court.
Andrew Hellrich originally sued Ashley Eavenson D.C. and Multi-Care Specialists S.C. in January alleging that they failed to provide proper medical care.
According to the complaint that was transferred on June 29, Hellrich was presented to the defendants for medical care and treatment on July 5, 2016. He claims he was injured during a cervical manipulation resulting in permanent pain, mental anguish, disability and disfigurement.
Hellrich holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly perform the procedure and failed to perform an appropriate history and physical examination prior to performing the procedure.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount greater than $75,000, plus costs and any other relief the court deems just and proper. He is represented by Samantha S. Unsell of Keefe, Keefe & Unsell in Belleville.
