BELLEVILLE — A Charter subcontractor claims he was injured when a telephone pole snapped while he was attempting to replace wires.

Dylan Stice, who was employed by a subcontractor for Charter, filed a complaint on April 25 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Ameren Illinois Company, Charter Communications LLC and Ervin Cable Constructions LLC, alleging they failed to ensure a safe working environment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 4, 2015, Cable directed Stice to climb to the top of a pole owned by Ameren to replace some wires owned by Charter when the pole snapped and broke. The plaintiff allegedly fell approximately 20 feet to the ground.

Stice claims he sustained severe injuries resulting in pain and suffering and loss of enjoyment of life.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to warn him of the hazardous condition of the pole.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against each defendant in an amount greater than $50,000, plus costs herein expended.

He is represented by Gary W. Kullmann of Kullmann, Klein & Dioneda PC in Clayton, Mo.
