EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist is suing another driver following an Alton collision.
Brandon Carlisle filed a complaint on March 3 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Peggy Campbell, alleging she failed to operate her vehicle with reasonable care and caution.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 25, 2015, he was operating his vehicle eastbound on Homer Adams Parkway when the defendant's vehicle made a left turn, entering the lane occupied by the plaintiff's vehicle and thereby causing a collision.
As a result, plaintiff suffered physical injuries, lost wages and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges Campbell failed to keep her eyes on the road in front of her, drove her vehicle at a speed which is greater than reasonable and proper with regards to traffic conditions, failed to stop at a traffic control device and failed to keep proper lookout for others lawfully using the highways.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in her favour in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus cost of this suit and any other further relief this court deems just and proper.
He is represented by Allan L. Napp of Schrempf, Kelly, and Napp, Ltd. in Alton.
