EDWARDSVILLE – A motorist is suing over injuries he allegedly received in the course of an automobile collision. He is citing negligence.

Ronald Hunziker filed the suit May 9 in Madison County Circuit Court against Johnathan E. Bondurant.

On July 9, 2014, the plaintiff was driving northbound on Frank Watson Parkway at the same time the defendant was traveling eastbound on Sportsman Road, the suit says. The defendant allegedly drove into the path of the plaintiff's vehicle, causing the plaintiff permanent injuries, because of the following allegedly negligent actions: speeding and failing to keep a proper lookout, sound his horn or yield the right-of-way to the plaintiff's vehicle.

The injuries the plaintiff received in the resulting collision include those to his neck, right shoulder, left elbow, left ribs, left thigh and back; he continues to seek medical attention for those injuries, for which he is paying; and he has sustained lost wages and a loss of enjoyment of life, the suit says. Further, he has experienced property damage to his vehicle, which is completely inoperable, according to the complaint.

The plaintiff seeks an amount less than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Justin C. Wilson of Brown & Crouppen PC in St. Louis.
