Woman sues following rear-end collision

Car accident 27

BELLEVILLE – A woman is suing over injuries she allegedly received in a rear-end collision.

Amy Davis filed the suit April 12 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Zachary Threlkeld.

On April 24, 2014, Davis was driving her car eastbound in the right hand lane of Frank Scott Parkway East in St. Clair County while the defendant was also driving eastbound in the same lane of the same roadway at the same time, the suit states.

Davis claims she was stopped in traffic at a red light when the defendant allegedly rear-ended her vehicle, the suit claims.

Davis alleges Threlkeld negligently failed to keep a lookout, failed to reduce his speed, failed to exercise a degree of care to avoid the accident and failed to keep a proper distance.

The plaintiff's alleged injuries include those to her body, pain and suffering, medical expenses and lost wages.

Davis seeks judgment in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs and other relief the court deems just. She is represented by Michelle L. Rousseau and Michael J. Rousseau of the Law Office of Michael J. Rousseau in Belleville.
