EDWARDSVILLE – Liberty Mutual Insurance Corporation is suing a remodeling company over alleged payment owed on a workers' compensation insurance premium.

Liberty Mutual Insurance Corporation filed the suit April 25 in Madison County Circuit Court against Advanced Exteriors & Remodeling.

According to the complaint, the defendant requested that the plaintiff provide workers' compensation coverage for the defendant's employees, and the plaintiff provided said coverage.

However, Liberty Mutual canceled the insurance policy after the defendant allegedly failed to pay the insurance premiums, leaving an outstanding total due of $52,353, according to the suit.

Even though Liberty Mutual has demanded payment from Advanced Exteriors, the complaint states, the defendant has refused and continues to refuse to pay.

The plaintiff seeks judgment of the $52,353 allegedly owed plus court costs. It is represented by Michael S. Baim of the CKB Firm in Chicago.
