Man alleges injuries from collision

Car accident 06

EDWARDSVILLE – A driver is suing over injuries that allegedly occurred in an automobile crash.

Keith Barackman filed the suit April 14 in Madison County Circuit Court against Gary L. Anderson.

On April 13, 2015, the plaintiff was driving southbound on Lake Drive and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Lake Drive and Route 162, the suit says. The defendant, traveling eastbound on Route 162, began making a left turn onto Lake Drive. A third motorist, who was driving westbound on Route 162, swerved to avoid colliding with the defendant, which allegedly caused his vehicle to crash into the plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff alleges injuries to his neck, back, head, ribs and pelvis. He has incurred large medical bills, past and future wage loss, pain and suffering, and disability and disfigurement, the suit says.

The plaintiff seeks judgment in an excess of $50,000 for each count against the defendant plus court costs and other relief the court deems equitable. He is represented by Marc W. Parker of Parker Law PC in Maryville.
