First Collinsville Bank sues over alleged unpaid promissory notes

BELLEVILLE – A local bank is suing over an allegedly unpaid promissory note.

First Collinsville Bank filed the suit March 16 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against BNJS Properties Inc., Noel Mabe, Bradley Hunziker, Jean E. Thompson, and unknown owners and nonrecord claimants.

According to the complaint, each defendant is party to a promissory note executed Oct. 15, 2013, in the sum of $211,000 payable to the plaintiff. And under the terms of the note, the defendants are allegedly in default.

As of March 9, First Collinsville Bank alleges the defendants owe it $128,879, plus attorney's fees, expenses and interest. Interest accrues at $16.75 per day.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for the aforesaid amounts against all defendants. It is represented by Kevin J. Stine, general counsel of First Co Bancorp Inc. in O'Fallon.
