Woman claims negligence by driver left her injured

BELLEVILLE – A motorist is suing over injuries she claims to have suffered when another driver rear-ended her vehicle. She is citing negligence.

Lydia Pracher filed suit March 22 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Andrea Dauphin.

On June 25, 2015, the plaintiff was traveling southwest on Lebanon Avenue and had stopped just past the intersection of North Belt/East Sherman Street, according to the suit, which says her vehicle was then struck from behind by the defendant's vehicle.

According to her claim, the plaintiff required medical treatment and care for injuries to her back, neck and hip as a result of alleged negligent actions by the defendant. Her pain and suffering continue, as do her mental anguish and her medical bills, the suit says.

The plaintiff seeks damages in excess of $50,000, court costs, punitive damages, interest and fees, and other relief the court deems proper. She is represented by Patrick A. Watts of Sturycz Watts LLC in St. Louis.
