A Madison County woman is suing a grocery store owner, alleging negligence after she says she slipped and fell on wet tiles.
Robin Blair filed the lawsuit Dec. 30 in Madison County Circuit Court against Schuette Stores Inc., doing business as Super Value and doing business as Schuette's Market.
According to the complaint, on Oct. 12, Blair was at the defendants' St. Rose store when she allegedly slipped on wet tiles in front of the bakery department. The injuries she sustained from the fall have caused her pain and suffering, medical bills, lost income and disfigurement, the suit says.
Blair seeks at least $50,000, plus court costs and attorney fees. She is represented by attorneys Brian M. Wendler and William A. Boker III of Wendler Law PC of Edwardsville.
