Motorist alleges another driver caused Belleville collision

A motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence over injuries she says she sustained in a vehicle collision.

Pamela H. Bittick filed a lawsuit on Oct. 26 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Jennifer M. McGuire, alleging negligence.

On June 16, the lawsuit states, Bittick was driving northbound on Frank Scott Parkway near its intersection with Wilson Drive in Belleville, when McGuire collided with the plaintiff's vehicle while driving westbound leaving the parking lot behind Walgreen's at the intersection.

The suit alleges McGuire was negligent in failing to maintain proper lookout, speeding, failing to apply brakes, failing to yield the right-of-way, and other negligent acts or omissions.

As a result, the lawsuit says, the plaintiff sustained bodily injuries, pain and suffering, medical expenses, and loss of earnings and earning capacity.

Bittick seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of the suit. She is represented by attorney Jason R. Caraway of Kolker Law Offices in Belleville.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number 15-L-607.
