A St. Clair County motorist is suing another driver, alleging his negligence led to her injuries in a vehicle accident.
Robin Harris filed a lawsuit on Oct. 15 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against David Smith, also of St. Clair County, alleging negligence while driving.
According to the complaint, on Oct. 17, 2013, Harris was driving on Interstate Highway 64 in St. Clair County when she was struck from behind by Smith's vehicle. Harris alleges Smith was driving fast, was too close to her car and failed to properly apply his brakes.
The suit says the plaintiff sustained injuries to her neck, back and shoulder, has incurred medical bills and will continue to suffer in the future.
Harris seeks jurisdictional minimal damages as well as any further relief the court sees fit. Harris is represented by attorney Lorenzo Hester of The Hester Group in St. Louis.
