Patient sues chiropractor over broken bones

A St. Clair County couple filed a lawsuit against a Saline County chiropractor and his business, alleging breach of professional duty in 2013 when a routine treatment resulted in broken bones, requiring medical intervention.

Kenneth Webb and Wanda Webb filed a lawsuit July 2 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against D. Tyler Dennison and Integrated Health, claiming that substandard medical practices in July 2013 caused Kenneth injuries and adversely impacted the couple’s lives.

According to the filing, when Kenneth sought the defendant’s professional services on or about July 13, 2013, the licensed chiropractor carelessly performed a manipulation, allegedly resulting in fractured ribs.

The plaintiff claims he experienced chronic pain and suffering along with loss of enjoyment of a normal life.

Webb further contends that he has incurred and will become liable to pay large sums of money for medical and hospital treatment and avers that he will require future treatment. Kenneth maintains that he has lost and will continue to lose wages due to his impaired earning capacity. Wanda alleges loss of consortium due to her husband’s injuries.

The plaintiffs seek judgment in their favor for damages of more than $50,000 plus attorneys’ fees and costs. They are represented by Joseph Bartholomew of Cook, Ysursa, Bartholomew, Brauer & Shevlin of Belleville.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number 15-L-387.
