A man has filed suit against the driver who he claims lost control of her vehicle, causing him to sustain head, neck, chest, right foot and left arm injuries.
Brian D. Moore claims he was riding in a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Savanna R. Brueggemann was driving on Plum Hill School Road in Belleville on July 28, 2012. Suddenly, Brueggemann lost control of her vehicle, causing a collision, according to the complaint filed Oct. 31 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Because of the collision, Moore suffered disfigurement and disability, experienced great physical pain and mental anguish and incurred medical costs, the suit states. He also lost his ability to enjoy his normal life, the complaint says.
Moore blames Brueggemann for causing the collision, saying she negligently failed to keep her vehicle under proper control, drove too fast, failed to reduce her speed to avoid a collision and drove without safe brakes.
In his complaint, Moore is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
Jeffrey A. Kopis of Kopis Law Office in Fairview Heights will be representing him.
