Lenders sue borrowers claiming more than $100K due

Two lenders have filed suit against the borrowers who they claim failed to repay them more than $100,000.

Joel Wendler and Laura Wendler filed a lawsuit Aug. 2 in Madison County Circuit Court against Reagan E. Wendler and Amber N. Wendler.

In their complaint, the plaintiffs say they lent the defendants $155,900 on Oct. 24, 2008. In return, the defendants agreed to repay them with monthly installments of $1,000, according to the complaint.

However, the defendants have not made any payments for more than six months, the suit states.

“The amount remaining unpaid and owing to the plaintiffs, after all credits and deductions, is the sum of $116,900,” the complaint says.

In addition to the money they claim they are owed, the plaintiffs seek costs.

George E. Marron III of Highland will be representing them.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 13-L-1299.
