Woman pushed down stairs twice at party, sues

A St. Clair County woman has filed suit against the man who she claims threw her down a set of stairs twice while they were attending a party.

Beverly A. Jacobson claims she and Rolf E. Jacobson were attending a party in St. Clair County on May 18, 2012, when Rolf Jacobson pushed her down a flight of stairs on two separate occasions.

“Defendant’s actions in causing plaintiff to fall down a flight of stairs were intended to cause and did cause a harmful contact with the plaintiff,” the suit filed July 3 in St. Clair County Circuit Court states.

Because of the incident, Beverly Jacobson became sick, sore, lame and disordered; suffered extensive injuries to her left shoulder, neck, chest, ribs, head, wrist and hand; and experienced pain and suffering, the complaint says. She also claims she incurred medical costs, suffered disability, lost wages, sustained permanent disfigurement, lost her earning capacity and lost her enjoyment of life.

In her complaint, Beverly Jacobson is seeking a judgment of more than $150,000, plus costs and other relief the court deems just.

D. Jeffrey Ezra of Ezra and Associates in Collinsville will be representing her.
