A Belleville woman is suing a Fairview Heights home improvement store after she says she tripped on a pallet left in an aisle.
Sue Ann Pannier filed a lawsuit May 22 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Lowe's Home Centers Inc.
Pannier says she was shopping at the Fairview Heights Lowe's in December 2012. While walking down the bathroom fixtures aisle, she says she tripped on a pallet that was blocking the aisle and fell. Pannier says she hurt her right hip.
Pannier accuses Lowe's of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical bills and court costs.
She is represented by attorney Gregory L. Shevlin of Belleville.
