Jazz on Broadway patron claims glass thrown at her head

A woman claims she sustained injuries when a bar patron threw a glass at her head.

Terretha Pollard filed a lawsuit June 12 in Madison County Circuit Court against Jazz on Broadway.

In her complaint, Pollard alleges she was visiting Jazz on Broadway on March 27 when an allegedly intoxicated patron named Tonya Martin threw a glass and hit Pollard in the forehead.

Pollard blames Jazz on Broadway for contributing to her injuries, saying it supplied the alcohol to Martin that caused her to become intoxicated.

Pollard is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.

Thomas O. Falb of Williamson, Webster, Falb and Glisson in Alton will be representing her.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 13-L-983.
