A Millstadt woman has filed suit against the driver who she claims rear-ended her vehicle.
Cynthia Rains claims she was driving on Illinois State Route 158 near Beil Road in Millstadt on June 28, 2012, when defendant Kelly Walsh struck the back of her vehicle.
Because of the collision, Rains experienced great physical damages, incurred medical costs and lost wages, according to the complaint filed May 20 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Walsh negligently failed to reduce her speed to avoid a collision and failed to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles on the road, the suit states.
In her complaint, Rains is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000.
She will be represented by Gary L. Bement of Bement and Stubblefield in Belleville.
