A Fairview Heights attorney is suing the driver that allegedly rear-ended the car her children were riding in.
Margaret Keck and Kristina Cooksey, individually and on behalf of her minor children, filed a lawsuit June 3 in Madison County Circuit Court against Samantha Brinker.
According to the complaint, Keck was driving west on Troxler Avenue in Highland in June 2011. Cooksey says her two children were passengers in the car. As Keck neared the intersection of Illinois Route 160, she alleges she was hit from behind by Brinker.
Keck claims she and the children were hurt in the crash. Cooksey and Keck accuse Brinker of negligence and ask for more than $200,000 in damages for medical expenses and court costs.
Cooksey, as well as Thomas C. Rich and Michelle M. Rich, are listed as the plaintiffs' attorneys.
