A New Douglas man is accused of riding his motorcycle drunk and causing a crash that killed another motorcycle rider.
Wade and Patricia King, individually and on behalf of the estate of Brandon King, filed a lawsuit May 21 in Madison County Circuit Court against Travis King.
According to the complaint, Brandon King was riding his motorcycle on St. Louis Road in Collinsvile in July 2011. At the same time Travis King was riding his motorcycle west on St. Louis Road and allegedly crashed into Brandon. Wade and Patricia claim Travis King was speeding and intoxicated at the time of the crash.
The Kings accuse Travis King of negligence and ask for more than $100,000 in damages and court fees.
