A woman has filed suit against the driver who she claims rear-ended the vehicle in which she was riding.
Ronda Bradstreet claims she was a passenger in a 1999 Honda Accord, which was stopped at a red light in the right turn lane at the intersection of Greenmount Crossing and North Greenmount Road in Shiloh on May 11, 2011. Suddenly, a vehicle driven by defendant Joseph Robertson rear-ended the vehicle in which Bradstreet was riding, according to the complaint filed May 3 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Because of the collision, Bradstreet suffered severe physical injuries, experienced pain and suffering, lost w
ages and her enjoyment of life and incurred medical costs, the suit states.
Robertson negligently drove in an improper and careless manner, drove too fast, failed to reduce his speed, failed to keep a lookout, failed to drive in a safe manner, failed to avoid the collision and failed to keep his vehicle under proper control, the complaint says.
In her complaint, Bradstreet is seeking damages of more than $100,000, plus costs and other relief the court deems just.
D. Todd Matthews and Randy L. Gori of Gori, Julian and Associates in Edwardsville will be representing her.
St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 13-L-230.
