A Glen Carbon woman has filed suit against the driver who she claims rear-ended her vehicle, saying she suffered jaw, left arm, back and neck injuries because of the collision.
Patricia Seeley Hadley claims she was driving on 134 St. Clair Square at its intersection with Illinois 159 on June 11, 2011, when defendant Richard Tate, who was driving in the same intersection, collided with the back of her vehicle.
In addition to her injuries, Hadley suffered great physical pain and incurred medical costs because of the collision, according to the complaint filed May 8 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Tate negligently drove too fast, failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to warn of his impending approach and collided with the back of Hadley’s vehicle, the suit states.
In her complaint, Hadley is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000.
She will be represented by Michael P. Hickey of Brown and Crouppen in St. Louis.
St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 13-L-240.
