A Michigan collection agency wants to collect nearly $60,000 in credit card debt owed by a Madison County man.
Asset Acceptance LLC filed a lawsuit on May 13 in Madison County Circuit Court against Daniel Cook.
Asset Acceptance LLC claims Daniel Cook opened credit card accounts with Citibank and Bank of America and agreed to repay all money borrowed from both companies. According to the complaint, Cook owes Citibank $23,147 and owes Bank of America $35,366 in unpaid credit card debt.
The debt collector accuses Cook of breach of contract for allegedly refusing to make payments to either company as agreed. It is asking Cook to pay $58,513 plus interest and court costs.
