An employee of a St. Clair County railroad company says he was hurt when another employee crashed into him while working on a track.
Roderick Jolliff filed a lawsuit April 2 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against CSX Transportation Inc.
Jolliff says he was working for CSX Transportation as a track inspector in April 2010. He says he was in a high-rail vehicle on the track near State Park when another CSX employee, driving another converted road vehicle, allegedly rear-ended Jolliff's car.
Jolliff is suing CSX Transportation under the Federal Employers' Liability Act and seeking more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses, loss of income and court fees.
Attorney Michael K. Nowak of Belleville represents Jolliff. They ask for a jury trial.
