An Alton woman says she was hurt when the car she was riding in was allegedly rear-ended at an intersection in Godfrey.
Heather M. Cross filed a lawsuit against Crystal Stiritz Feb. 26 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Cross says in September 2011 she was a passenger in a car stopped at the intersection of Godfrey Road and Taylor Avenue. Stiritz, who was driving on Godfrey Road, failed to stop for the red light at Taylor Avenue and crashed into the back of the car in which Cross was riding, according to the complaint.
Cross accuses Stiritz of negligence and ask for more than $50,000 in damages for medical bills, loss of income and court fees.
