A bouncer at a Wood River bar is accused of attacking a patron and breaking the man's shoulder blade.
Charles J. Jones filed a lawsuit March 27 in Madison County Circuit Court against Daddie O's Nite Out, Richard Campbell and Billy Doe.
Jones says he was a customer of Daddie O's Nite Out bar in March 2011 when he was attacked by a bouncer who he only knows as "Billy." Jones claims he was held by others while Billy kicked and punched him. Jones alleges his scapula was broken in the attack.
Jones claims the bar owner, Campbell, violated Illinois' Dram Shop Act and is liable for his injuries. He asks for an undisclosed amount of money in compensatory and punitive damages for medical expenses and costs of the lawsuit. Jones represents himself.
