MADISON - ST. CLAIR RECORD

A bank has filed suit against the St. Clair County woman who it claims failed to repay it more than $100,000.

First County Bank claims it entered into a series of promissory notes with defendant Parke A. Smith. However, she has failed to make the required payments, according to the complaint filed March 15 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

As of Jan. 28, Smith owes First County Bank $125,684.92, the suit states.

In addition to the money it claims Smith owes it, First County Bank is seeking attorneys’ fees, costs and other relief the court deems just.

Kevin J. Stine of Mathis, Marifian and Richter in Belleville will be representing it.
