Granite City man sues over I-270 ramp accident

A Granite City man says he was hurt when the car he was riding in was rear-ended on an off-ramp in Madison County.

James Bradford filed a lawsuit March 15 against Lindsay McNeely in Madison County Circuit Court.

According to the complaint, Bradford was a passenger in car in May 2012 at the Interstate 270/Illinois Route 157 interchange. While on the eastbound ramp of I-270, Bradford says the car he was riding in was hit from behind by a vehicle being driven by McNeely.

Bradford accuses McNeely of negligence and seeks $50,000 in damages for medical expenses and costs of the lawsuit.

Attorney Ely Hadowsky of St. Louis represents Bradford. They ask for a jury trial.
