A woman claims she sustained head, neck and back injuries after a driver failed to obey a red light.
Mandy Timon filed a lawsuit March 6 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against George Fish.
In her complaint, Timon alleges she drove north on Green Mount Commons Drive in Belleville on Dec. 28 when Fish, who was driving west on Carlyle Avenue, drove through a red light and struck the side of Timon’s vehicle.
In addition to her injuries, Timon became sick, sore, lame, disordered and disabled; incurred medical costs; and suffered disability, according to the complaint. She also experienced pain and suffering and lost wages and her earning capacity, the suit states.
Timon blames Fish for causing the collision, saying he negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, struck the side of Timon’s vehicle, failed to properly apply his brakes, drove too fast, failed to obey a traffic signal and entered an intersection when facing a red traffic light.
In her complaint, Timon seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
Thomas C. Rich, Kristina D. Cooksey and Michelle M. Rich of Fairview Heights will be representing her.
