To the Editor:
On Saturday, May 18, the Civic Alliance of East St. Louis, will be hosting a citizens town hall meeting from 4-7 p.m. at the Family Development Center, 1025 State St. in East St. Louis.
The public is encouraged to attend this free event which will be broken into various sessions:
- Viewing reception (4-4:30 p.m.): “Warzone: Destruction of An All American City,” narrated by Craig Cheatham , KMOV Channel 4;
- Session 1 (4:30-5:15 p.m.) : How can citizens ensure that public safety is the city's highest priority?;
- Session 2 (5:30-6:15 p.m.): What can citizens do today about new fees for alarms, nonprofits and churches?; and
- Session 3 ( 6:30-7 p.m.): What does it take to fix all the streets and sewers at once?
