I-55 rear-end accident leads to St. Clair County suit

An Edwardsville woman is being sued for allegedly rear-ending another driver on I-55.

Alnedra Clay and Simuel Tramble filed a lawsuit against Emily Cates Feb. 19 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

According to the petition, Tramble was a passenger in a Chrysler 300 being driven by Clay in February 2012. The pair claims they were driving on Interstate 55 in St. Clair County when they were hit from behind by a Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera driven by Cates.

Both Clay and Tramble say they were hurt in the crash and accuse Cates of negligence. They ask for more than $140,000 in damages for medical expenses and court fees.

Attorney Keith P. Gray of St. Louis represents Clay and Tramble.
