A Madison County man says he was hit by another driver who tried to turn left in front of him on a Granite City road.
James Nichols filed a lawsuit against Earlie Brown Feb. 19 in Madison County Circuit Court.
According to the complaint, Nichols was driving a Ford Crown Victoria north on Illinois Route 3 in October 2012. At the same time Brown was allegedly driving a Mazda truck south on Route 3. As he neared the intersection of Rock Road, Nichols claims Brown tried to turn left onto Rock Road and crashed into him.
Nichols accuses Brown of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses and court fees.
