An Alton man is being sued for allegedly rear-ending another driver who was stopped at an intersection.
Tammy S. Phillips filed a lawsuit Feb. 15 against Donald E. Johann in Madison County Circuit Court.
Phillips says in March 2011 she was stopped at the intersection of Illinois 140/College Avenue and Main Street in Alton. She claims she was hit from behind by Johann. Phillips says her back was hurt in the crash.
Phillips accuses Johann of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses, loss of income and court fees. She is represented by attorney Terrence V. O'Leary of Granite City.
