A man has filed suit against the driver who he claims rear-ended his vehicle while he was sitting at a red light.
Daniel J. Reiff claims he was driving north on North Green Mount Road about 400 feet south of the intersection with Frank Scott Parkway on Jan. 15, 2011, at about 3:43 p.m. when defendant Kody Strunk rear-ended his vehicle.
Because of the collision, Reiff lost income, incurred medical costs, suffered pain and lost his normal life, according to the complaint filed Jan. 11 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Reiff blames Strunk for causing the collision, saying he negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, drove too fast and failed to stop at an intersection after a light had turned red.
In his complaint, Reiff is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
Jon E. Rosenstengel of the Law Offices of Bonifield and Rosenstengel in Belleville will be representing him.
St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 13-L-20.
