A man has filed suit against three people who he claims struck him while he was working.
Wade C. Robertson for the use of Liberty Northwest Insurance Corporation filed a lawsuit March 1 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Virgil L. Avery, Heaven Avery and Richard W. Irwin Jr.
In his complaint, Robertson claims he was working at Platinum of Illinois located at 213 Madison Ave. in Brooklyn on March 15, 2010, when the defendants, who were patrons of the company, struck him.
Because of the injuries Robertson sustained, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company paid disability benefits and medical costs of $52,928.16, according to the complaint. Liberty is now seeking the money it paid to Robertson.
In addition to the money it claims it paid Robertson, Liberty seeks future payments, costs and other relief the court deems just.
Bradley L. Lichtman of the Law Offices of Meachum and Starck in Chicago will be representing it.
St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 12-L-119.
